This episode originally aired on Febuary 3rd, 1975 on CBS. In the first season, Rhoda's time slot was Monday nights at 9:30 PM(et)right after "Maude"(9:00 PM-ET). Also, the show was #6 on it's ratings as to the reason it was popular in it's first season.

You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed the clip!

Haven't heard this theme music in a very long time...thanks for posting! I always got a kick on how MTM did a parody with Rhoda throwing her hat into the air just like Mary Tyler Moore did in the opening sequence of her show!

Yes isn't it interesting that John and Norman appeared together in this episode before Three's Company. The episode is called "Chest Pains" where Ida think she's having heart problems and Rhoda and Brenda take her to the doctor. Norman Fell played the doctor and John Ritter played Brenda's boyfriend.

Wow--haven't seen that first season opening since I saw the show first-run--thanks! Love that 70's heavy on the "wakka-chikka" and guitar stunts. Also, noticed that both Normal Fell and John Ritter guest-starred in this episode! Would be interesting to see them working together pre-Three's Company -;)
