it was paul weller who smashed a bottle in sid's face,because sid wound paul up about the credibility of the jam & the fact that the sex pistols signed to a& m for £75,000 while the jam signed to polydor for £5,000. i've heard that sid also said to freddy mercury that he & queen had really brought opera to the great british public-don't know how true this is though...maybe someone could enlighten us
