Boiler is a terminology used to describe an un-attractive lady. Usually fat and with the appearance of a stained old copper boiler. When did you last see a good looking boiler? I´d forgotten this track, so thanks for posting. I have teenager daughters now and I made sure they listened to it. They were horrified but hopefully more clued up. The power of music eh!!!.....I think that the reason it did´nt get more airplay or higher chart status was because it was banned by most radio stations.

this was actually released as a single and only reached No.35 in the UK charts in 1982. It would have went further, but not surprisingly it suffered from a lack of airplay. Disc jockeys and radio stations were too scared to play this. It is definitely a one-off - the musical equivalent of a horror movie.

Thought I had this on vinyl in a box in the attic and have been thinking of it for years. Found the box, no disc. Arhhhh!!! I knew it was dark and wonderful and has hunted me for years. Wish I still had the 7 inch.

I was looking for the specials a's and b's and rarities cd, because i just knew there had to be some legendary stuff on there. I finally found it ,in the bargain bin(how there they?), and this was the song that struck me the most, among the version ofcourse.
