Whats really amazing, averge person has no idea of time delays, frm time key is pressed= sound several seconds depending on construction, acoustics etc.Once you get into music Ur mind is soley on notes & not sound coming out UNLESS U R blessed w/ all gifts= hearing, seeing, feeling& "tasting" piece U R "expressing"!Gifts U R born w/ & can't be learned!S quite physically demanding which am no longer able.I miss playing & feeling the sound vibrate my bones when playing a REAL pipe organ!

Is there an edition of this for the piano?

I hadn't heard this magnificent piece since 1965 when Faith Powell played it on our college organ. I was delighted to discover it on YOUTUBE and there to be introduced to the master organist, Martin Mans. of whom I am now a staunch fan. His music is very inspirational as he plays these beautiful sounding organs. I hope he will come to the U.S. some time so I can hear him in person and hope to meet him. |
