They had Aretha's microphone turned down so in order to hear her she had to sing louder. It's interesting though, because Aretha performs live. I love how a lot of times these so called great singers lose part of their voice and then pre-record and lip sync their stuff.

yeah that's probably what it was cause none of the ladies really put it "D" like they usually do. I'm a fan of everyone of them but Brandy and I can admit that it wasn't there best.

Um ... was the standing O just because they are all super stars? I couldn't possibly have been for the performances because none of them were that great.
