On Saturday, January 26, 2008, the East Penn Traction Club held a module workshop and car tuneup session in Bryn Mawr, PA. There were some new HO Scale modules in the design and early construction stage and the N Scale "Easy Trolley" Japanese layout was set up.In addition some of the O Scale trolley modules were set up for operation and car tuneup purposes. The video shows some of the modules in operation with some of my trolley cars running and some from other members. The cars included modeled prototypes from the Connecticut Co. in New Haven, CT, the Indiana Railroad based out of Indianapolis, IN, the Fonda, Johnstown & Gloversville in Upstate New York, the Philadelphia Transportation Co. and some cars for which there are no prototypes. The East Penn Traction Club can trace its roots back to 1969 with the establishment of standards for O Scale trolley modular layouts. The standards have since been refined but are still physically compatible with the original standards. The music on the video is from a selection of "buy out" music that I purchased to use on trolley and railroad videos that I produce. It is not available for sale in regular outlets and cannot be played without visual accompaniment.

One of the members of the East Penn Traction Club built a model of the 69th Street Terminal in O Scale that fit on four modules. It was last exhibited publicly several years ago.

Wonderful.....has anyone built or does there exist a model of the SEPTA line that runs out of 69th street up Garrett Road? I think it's the Sharon Hill line. I spent my childhood at the Broadview Road station watching the cars go by.
