Hey, no reason to cop an attitude with me. If you want to live in out in the woods in a tent, you won't offend me any.Just don't make fun of us who would rather have homes.

No one lives any closer than town, no one will come any closer than that,...at night, in the dark.

I hear the whole place is like a nature reserve no one can hunt any of the animals because they're too iradiated, and packs of house cats left from the diaster swarm all over these abandoned towns

Yes, there are people that work at and around the plant. Currently in the planning- and design-phase is the New Safe Confinement, which will be built by the French consortium Novarka. This will be a big concrete arc over the reactor and the sarcophagus. Currently the plans say it'll be done in 2012. After that is in place, they will start dismantling the crumbling sarcophagus and the broken reactor.

As long as you keep a dosimeter with to so that you you keep track of your recieved dose and that doesn't go above what is concidered safe... then you'll be allright.

No... noone uses uranium for bombs. Uranium bombs are inherently unsafe and rather ineffeicient. But you are correct in that the RBMK's could be used for making plutonium, which is a weapons material. |
